Do you know how to rest?

Rest! A simple word but a complicated thing to do. The dictionary probably doesn't say this exactly but I define rest as ceasing from labor and worry. Rest and peace are intertwined. Now if we add the God factor and rest in God, the meaning becomes deeper. You can be doing nothing but not resting, however you can be doing something and resting. Complicated! When I say cease from labor to me it means that you are probably toiling towards a result or outcome. There are times when God tells us to stop. It doesn't mean that you are not actively doing something. Resting in God is a spiritual state of being saturated in peace and contentment. Not only that, but I believe the ultimate key to rest is that you don't worry about what you know you can't control, and you truly trust that God is concerned about what concerns you, and that he will do the heavy lifting, and know that the heavy lifting is not your job. Not a cliche' but FACTS!

Believe it or not you are getting more done when you are resting in God regardless of if you are building a house or laying on the couch in Netflix and chill mode. What I am saying in the grand scheme of things is resting is not equated with how much or how little activity is being done.

I have been on a Marvel movie binge lately and Iron man told his wife that he could go to bed and not pursue any further that he had found a solution to reversing the Thanos snap(See the Avengers: Endgame for further understanding lol). His wife asked him this powerful question: but could you rest?

I know we by human nature want answers, solutions, and want to be actively doing something and that's why quarantining can be challenging, but do we know how to rest?
