I could have saved myself alot of frustration and tears if I had not listened to the counsel of others, and here is the kicker: 10 out of 10 times, they meant well and were believers too!
Now let me establish very quickly that advice and especially advice from godly people often is necessary, and has it's place. What I have found out however, is that God sometimes can put you in a season were he doesn't want you to be advised by anyone, and for that period in your life, he desires to be your only form of counsel because sometimes, what others tell you is not always what God is telling you, even when it sounds common sense and logical.
The call you have on your life is only one that he ultimately knows and sometimes, it is only something that you will understand. The people closest to you may not be able to understand because he gave the call to YOU, he gave the desire to YOU, and he gave the vision to YOU. Your walk with God has the capacity to grow so intimately that there are moments that no matter how you try to explain it, and want others to understand, they simply can not. They may respect it, but they will not understand. There will be certain things you can't do or say but others can.
Your call and purpose is personalized and for the one who walks sincerely and truly with him with genuine affection and love for him, that continual desire and that continual vision in your heart is from him. Just believe him and continue to stand; continue to stand on his personalized promises to YOU.
